Vision 1.93.04: music that no longer stops halfway

Vision 1.93.04 makes music reliable: the queue no longer stops halfway, screensaver music keeps going, guests' tracks show up properly. And the "to classify" list gets shorter.

In one sentence: music plays to the end, at parties and on the screensaver, and the list of sites to classify now only shows what still needs a decision.

Fixes

Music

  • The queue no longer stops halfway. When a track ended before the next one was ready, often after a pause or a "Play now", the music could stop. Vision now asks for the next track again, and the queue keeps going.
  • Screensaver music keeps going. The screensaver playlist no longer stops after a few tracks.

Party

  • Guests' tracks show up in the queue, even behind a long playlist, and they count towards the add limit.
  • The mode chosen for guests is kept (approve first, play next, or add to the end of the queue), even after Home Assistant restarts.

Permissions

  • A much shorter "to classify" list. A site that is already classified, and already decided for every device, no longer appears in it.

What you need to do

Nothing. The update arrives by itself. One exception: on a device where the app was installed by hand, you may be asked to confirm the update on screen.

What's next

The next release takes care of TVs that crop the edges of the picture, and of theme colours on every screen. Everything is on the roadmap.
