Vision 1.93.06: a more flexible TV and simpler remote unlock
Vision 1.93.06 and HA 2.5.12: a TV home screen with two modes, the same widgets on phone and TV, music that steps aside for a video, remote unlock in one step.
In one sentence: the TV home screen is yours to choose, widgets are the same everywhere, music knows when to step aside and a device can be unlocked remotely in one step.
This release brings together the Vision app 1.93.06 and the Home Assistant integration 2.5.12. It follows 1.93.05 and the 2.5.11.1 hotfix.
New and fixed
TV
- The TV home screen offers two modes. In "Use" mode, the arrow keys go straight to the widgets' buttons and OK acts. In "Edit" mode (long-press OK), you move and resize widgets; press Back when you're done.
- Margins adjust by themselves on every screen, and the guest QR code comes in three sizes.
Widgets
- A single widget catalogue for phone and TV, thermostat included.
- Temperature graphs are fixed.
Music
- Music pauses when you switch to YouTube or an HDMI input, and it no longer restarts over a video.
- The queue scrolls smoothly, and the right cover art shows up straight away.
Security
- Simpler remote unlock. From a phone or from Home Assistant, you can unlock an Android device for 15, 30 or 60 minutes, without waiting for a request. And if the code slips your mind, "Forgot code?" is there.
- The web filter no longer cuts off apps running in the background.
Home Assistant
- Vision's pages are lighter.
What you need to do
Update the Vision integration in HACS. The app updates by itself; only a device where it was installed by hand may ask you to confirm on screen.
